Artist, Jack Rowland is painting a mural for We Push Buttons

As part ofyour participation in the 2021 Castlemaine Fringe Festival and the Castlemaine State Festival, why not come down and observecelebrated Mural Artist Jack Rowland, live in actionat the We Push Button’s new office in Castlemaine on 27 March?

In conjunction with this year’s Fringe Festival andin keeping with themodus operandi of the We Push Buttons teamwho for the past 15 years have been supporting local artistsand local community publicevents, the We Push Buttons team, in partnership with the Comma Complex owner and developer James Evans, are celebrating their new office by commissioning Castlemaine raised, Melbourne based Artist, Jack Rowland to create one of his iconic murals on the wall of their new office building.  

Jack has designed a unique image for the We Push Buttons wall and he will beundertaking the project over 3 days from 27 March 2021.  The mural can be viewed from the laneway behind the Comma Stage on Forest Street, Castlemaine.  

Jack Rowland’s chromatic and saturated landscape paintings aim to offer alternative perceptions of the natural world. Rowland exhibits nationally and internationally including James Makin Gallery, Anna Pappas Gallery, Linden New Art, Rubicon ARI, Blindside Gallery, Flinders Lane Gallery and Kunstraum Tapir (Berlin).

Moving forward this mural,situated behind the old Comma Building on the corner of Forest and Hargraves Streets, will be seen by any passers-by on Forest Street who care to look up.
