You are here:

Adding a new user to Google Adwords Account:

  1. Login to your Google Ads account.
  2. Click on My Account
  3. Then click on Access.
  4. Click on Invite other users in the same section
  5. Now you should see the hyperlink Invite Others to Access this Account, enter the email address of the person you wish to grant access to. They will need an email associated with a Google account so typically a Gmail account is easiest.
  6. Choose the access level you would like this new user to have
    1. Administrator: Administrators have full access to all functionality
    2. Advertiser: Invited advertisers can check the progress of their orders.
    3. Salesperson: Salespeople can create orders, manage orders, and run reports on orders they create.
    4. Sales manager: Sales managers can create orders, approve orders, cancel orders, edit targeting criteria, and run reports on orders, sales, and inventory.
    5. Trafficker: Traffickers can create orders, edit orders, edit line items, upload creatives, and run reports on orders and creatives.
    6. Executive: Executives can run reports and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns through read-only access to all functionality.
    7. Ad Exchange manager: Ad Exchange managers have access to Ad Exchange functionality, but not Ad Manager. This role might not be available for your network.
    8. Legal manager: Legal managers can view and edit users, roles, and teams, as well as access and accept the Ad Manager payment contract when completing the self-serve billing setup. They do not have access to any other Ad Manager functionality.
  7. Click on Continue.
  8. On the Personalize your invitation screen, you may personalize the invitation, but it is not required.
  9. Click on Continue.
  10. On the Review and send screen, check that the information is correct.
  11. If the information is correct, click on Send Invitation.
  12. Once the invitation has been sent, you must wait for the person you invited to accept the invitation. This should happen within 24 hours. If the invitation is not accepted in 24 hours, contact the person to be sure that they received it.
  13. Once the person has accepted the invitation, there will be an alert posted on the Account Snapshot.
  14. Click on Access in the message.
  15. At the top of the Access screen, there will be another alert.
  16. Click on I Agree to the Above, Grant <> Access.

The access to your Google Ads Account has now been granted to this person. Granting access to your Google Adwords account does not grant access to your Google Analytics account.
